Eventually the weather cleared just enough for us to spend a couple of hours wandering around the Paloma Gardens – a delightful combination of beautiful tropical plants, huge cactuses, and a murky pond with loads of frogs. The fresh rain added to the atmosphere, and definitely brought the humidity required for these colourful plants.
If you’re feeling a bit … gardened out, and need the smell of old machinery and grease, I also recommend the motorbike museum right next door! (No really, it was great!)
