One constant of our week long trip to Melbourne was the weather. Crowded House sang “always take the weather with you” but I really wish we hadn’t. It really was a reminder of home. Still though, we’re Wellingtonians, and we won’t let a bit of wind or rain get in the way of a good time.
Given our time constraints, we’d booked an Ocean Road tour, with the promise of koalas. Well, no koalas were forthcoming but we did get treated to a spectacularly stormy day at the 12 Apostles. Much more dramatic, don’t you think? You can imagine the blood draining terror as your ship is dashed on the rocks and all you can see is a 50 foot cliff.
