There’s just something special about a big city at night. The buzzing atmosphere amplified by the bright lights. Japan definitely isn’t short on big cities, so of course I had to get out and experience it!
We knew Akihabara Electric Town would be lit up like a Christmas tree!

Similar in population to Wellington city, Matsumoto was a refreshing change
Ponto-cho in Kyoto is criss-crossed with alleys
Fukuoka city was very pretty at night
Fukuoka comes to life after dark, with the tiny yatai (street vendors) selling hot fresh ramen
