The final two days of our whirlwind 1800 km trip around the top third of the South Island was one heck of a long slog. Partly with the weather turning, and a wrong turn or two, we made it to the ferry terminal by the skin of our teeth. However, it was a scenic (if quick!) journey, taking in a boardwalk, rain, more rain, another incredible sunset, a waterfall and some of the local wildlife!
