This year’s summer exhibition at Te Papa is aimed squarely at kids (and big kids!): The Tyrannosaurs! So we waited and waited for my family to come down for Christmas and then took 7 year old nephew to see it
Mister 7 has never been in a plane. I guess the nose-section only of a 737 parked on Te Papa’s forecourt doesn’t count?
I’m glad he’s not really the pilot, a 737 probably wouldn’t handle that barrel roll!
Seriously, don’t call them fluffy!
The Albertosaurus is quite a large beast!
The talons alone are enough to give me the heebie-jeebies
The larger dinos may only be casts, but they’re still imposing!
Look at those ribs!
Scotty the T-Rex was the centrepiece – and with teeth between 3 and 28 cm long, who’s arguing?
And Scotty’s shadow somehow makes shadow puppets
To prove his strength, D shows this guy his guns. Don’t mess with me!
